I've been growing out my bangs for a while and they had gotten to really awkward length. I was feeling frustrated over the fact that my hair just didn't ever do anything anymore so I got a little bit impulsive.
I cut my own bangs last night.

Now, I need to give credit where credit is due; I wouldn't have gone through with this impulsive act if SW didn't send multiple texts encouraging me.
SO... thank you for that!

I think I'm still going to edit the fringe a little bit, but I'm very pleased with how they turned out.

Anne Hathaway mit Kurzhaarschnitt

Erst vor wenigen Wochen zeigte sich die britische Schauspielerin Emma Watson, war zwei Saisons lang das Gesicht der Marke Burberry, mit einem kurzen Pixie-Haarschnitt. Die Meinung waren dort schon geteilt. Jetzt zeigte sich Schauspielerin Anne Hathaway, am Set ihres neuen Filmes One Day, mit einer ebenfalls Kurzhaarfrisur. Ihre Version ist zwar nicht ganz so kurz wie die von Emma, aber trotzdem ein großer Unterschied zu ihrer bisherigen Frisur. Ich bin mir sicher, dass sie die neue Frisur für die Filmrolle hat machen lassen. Ich weiß noch nicht was ich davon halten soll, irgendwie fand ich das lange doch schöner. Finde die kurzen Haare aber auch nicht schlimm. Anne hat ein Gesicht, dass zu beidem passt.

Mark Ronson mit blonden Haaren auf dem BlackBook

Normalerweise sind so krasse Umfärbungen auf dem Kopf Dinge, die Frauen machen. Doch auch unser sonst so stilsichere Brite Mark Ronson hat sich was gewagt und seine Haare Platinblond gefärbt. Und diese Neuerung bezüglich seiner Haarfarbe zeigt er jetzt auf dem Cover und in einem Editorial des Magazines BlackBook. Im Kontrast zu der hellen Haarfarbe wird viel mit knalligem rot und dunklen schwarz gearbeitet. Die Bilder gefallen mir, nur leider kann ich mich nicht wirklich mit der Farbe bei Mark Ronson anfreunden, es sieht einfach zu künstlich für meinen Geschmack aus. Obwohl mir der Stil des Produzenten in der Regel recht gut gefällt und ich es auch toll finde, dass er sich mal was traut.

Emma Watson hat die Haare kurz!

Solch einen Sprung von lang und mädchenhaft auf einen kurzen Bubischnitt gibt es nicht oft in der Filmbranche. Doch jetzt hat sich Harry Potter Schauspielerin Emma Watson dazu entschlossen, ihre Haare sehr kurz zu schneiden. Heute wurde sie mit ihrem Look gesichtet und bekam bisher nur positive Kritiken. Harry Potter ist abgedreht und ich kann mir vorstellen, dass sie so einen Schlussstrich unter der ganzen Sache ziehen wollte, Frauen beginnen ja oft so einen neuen Lebensabschnitt. Ich muss mich erst noch an diesen Look gewöhnen, finde es aber nicht schlecht.

Trendspotting : Dip-Dye-Haare

Vor wenigen Tagen tauchte Sängerin Ashlee Simpsons bei der Pärsentation einer Kollektion von Designer Neil Lang mit einem neuen Look auf. Lange hat man nicht wirklich was von ihr gehört. Sie ist mit Gitarist Pete Wentz verheiratet und hat ein Kind bekommen, das weiß ich noch. Doch in L.A. zeigte sie sich mit diesem neuen Look und hat mich damit total überzeugt. Am Körper trug sie ein schwarzes Maxikleid und die Haare mit einem Farbverlauf von schwarz nach braun/blond. Anderen mag der Look ein wenig zu dunkel sein, aber mir gefällt das Gesamtbild echt gut. Ein solches Haarstyling habe ich jetzt schon ein paar mal in Magazinen gesehn und es gefiel mir recht gut.

Look des Tages : Mary Kate Olsen

Jeden Tag sehe ich unzähliche Bilder von Stars und nie bin ich wirklich besonders positiv angetan, von dem was sie tragen, außer auf dem roten Teppich. Doch bei Mary-Kate Olsen und ihrer Schwester Ashley kann man sich eigentlich immer sicher sein, dass sie etwas tolles tragen. So wurde ich heute wieder in meinem Glauben bestätigt als ich dieses Bild fand. Zu einem kurzen Ledermini kombiniert sie eine lockere Bluse, die sicherlich Vintage ist. Unter dem Arm trägt sie eine Vintage Kelly Bag von Hermés. Besonders gut gefallen mir die Haare im Sleek-Look, der mir schon gut auf der Fashionweek in Berlin bei den Models aufgefallen ist. Natürlich kann das nicht jede Frau tragen denn es wirkt sehr schnell fettig, wenn man es nicht gezielt stylt. Bei ihr hat es auf jeden Fall geklappt.

Neues von Agyness Deyn

Von Zeit zu Zeit wird es mal wieder ruhig um das Topmodel aus den UK. Das letzte mal war sie in aller Munde, als sie mit ihrerm Rasiertenkopf bei einem Festival in L.A. unterwegs war. Auf den großen Fashionshows ist sie immer weniger zu sehen und auch die Editorials in Magazinen auf der ganzen Welt sind rar geworden. Doch Agyness ist nicht ganz aus dem Modelgeschäft rauszukriegen.Dieses Wochenende wurde Agyness auf einer Party mit frisch blondierten Haaren wieder gesichtet. Eindeutig besser als die dunkle Variante, finde ich. Und um nicht nur immer um auf ihr Aussehen reduziert zu werden hat sich jetzt Agyness an die Arbeit gemacht und mit ihrer Freundin Fiona Byrne ein Onlinemagazine gelauncht. Das Onlinemagazine gefällt mir sehr gut, da es gut gewählte Profukte sind die sie vorstellt und diese zu ihren eigenen Favoriten gehören. Kreativ war Agyness ja schon immer, das gefiel mir schon am Anfang an ihr. Ihr Magazine heißt NAAG und findet ihr auf NAAG.com.

New Hair

I paid a little visit to Zack Norman at Lunatic Fringe again today! I know I've raved about him before, but I always leave there thrilled with my hair!

What made your day?

One of those mornings...

This transitional seasons thing really got to me this morning.
First off, I so did not want to get out of bed. Sure, I could say that pretty much every morning, but I really meant it today! Needless to say, I pressed snooze a few times too many this morning

Then I didn't want to get out of the shower. Now that is an unusual thing for me. I really dislike breathing humid air, therefore I don't care to stay in the shower for an extended period of time. I usually rush through my showers in order to get out as soon as possible. This morning I just wanted the hot water to keep pouring over me and never stop. I wanted it to just wash away everything.

At this point, I was already running late, but that wasn't the end. Today was one of those days where I hate everything I own. It is May 2nd and current 46 degrees Fahrenheit where I am. Is it winter? Is it spring? Is it warm? Is it cold? In Utah, you just can never quite predict. So, how am I supposed to dress? Should I dress to keep warm? Should I break out all my new Spring clothes that I really want to wear? I couldn't decide. On top of all that, I have to keep in mind every activity that I'll be doing tonight. I left my house at 5:30am and I probably won't be back till I'm ready to sleep. I've got to make sure I'm prepared, right? To make my morning a little more behind schedule, I ended up changing my outfit about 20 different times. The funny thing is the outfit I ended up wearing is an outfit that I three times decided not to wear. Did I hang any of the discarded items back up after deciding not to wear them? Of course not, I was running late. So now my bedroom floor is littered with discarded clothing items.

By the time I got dressed it was time to leave and I had pretty much done nothing with my hair except comb product through it. My hair is naturally pretty straight and very fine so its was already mostly dry except in the back. I decided in the interest of getting out of the door quickly, I'd just straighten my fringe. If you know me, you know that I pretty much never leave the house without doing my hair or makeup. Running out to the car sure was fun, I could feel my wet hair wanting to freeze.

With a morning like this, its a wonder that I don't look like a transient off the streets.
Its a good thing I'm so paranoid about being late, my over-planning on time really paid off today. I got to practice right as the clock turned to 6:00.
No sweat.

New Hair

I got my hair done on Tuesday night. I've been meaning to take pictures of it before I wrote about it, but I've been too busy to take the time to take pictures. So I decided I'll show you some pictures later.

Basically, I just wanted to thank everyone that voted in my poll on what color to dye my hair. I'm a really indecisive person so its good to get advice from friends.

Zach Norman at Lunatic Fringe in Salt Lake is fabulous. No lie. If you are searching for a new stylist, he is the guy, I recommend scheduling an appointment with him right away.

I told Zach that I wanted to go a lighter shade of brown for spring and he did the rest. He did something called a color melt on me where its darker at the roots and lighter at the ends. He also is great at telling me how to style my hair and what products will work best for me. This time, I decided to try out a hair powder and a protective treatment. So far, I love them.

I promise you there will be lots of picture taking this weekend as my dad is getting married, we'll be celebrating Traci's birthday some more and its Easter on Sunday. So stay tuned if you want to see me with a lighter hair color!
