Most of you know how passionate I am about PXE and all the work that they are doing. They are on the verge of great things, and they must keep their momentum going.

Some of the projects in their pipeline include:

Conducting a PXE clinical trial for retinal treatments

Funding the PXE International Research Consortium - 36 labs around the world

Building an international registry of over 4000 affected individuals

Expanding the PXE International Blood and Tissue Bank for research projects

Examining some potential treatments in mice

The only source of their funding is donations from individuals and a few foundations. PXE is extremely efficient and spends only 7% of their annual income on administration and fundraising.
