So there may have been a time or two in the past where I've locked my keys in my car. Maybe there was even a time where I locked the keys in the car while it was still running.
I plead insanity.
Today, walking out to my car, I go to grab my keys. My bag is a bottomless pit so I keep my keys in the outer pocket.
You guess it, they weren't there.
I move my search to the inside of my purse. It took a little shaking around and rearranging of the contents to discover they were not there either.
I didn't even have to look in my car to figure out that I had locked my keys in my car.
...but I have learned my lesson.
This is where the genius comes in.
I keep a copy of my car key hidden at work! (Yeah, don't try to find it, cos you won't.) Yay for my smartness, I was able to use my spare to retrieve my main set from the passenger seat. I even remembered to put the spare back before I left! Go me!
So I want to take this opportunity to suggest you all leave a spare key for your car at places you frequently drive. Then you too can be a genius!
