
YORK REVOLUTION TO UNVEIL BROOKS ROBINSON STATUE
First Ever Statue of Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson to be Unveiled Saturday, April 5th at Sovereign Bank Stadium in York, Pennsylvania .
WHAT: Brooks Robinson Statue Dedication
WHO: National Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, Lorann Jacobs, Artist and creator of the statue, Peter Kirk, Chairman of Opening Day Partners, Jon Danos, President of Opening Day Partners, Joe Musso, York City Official and John Krout, Chair of YCIDA.
WHEN: Saturday, April 5th 1:30 p.m. – 2:10 p.m.
WHERE: York Revolution Sovereign Bank Stadium, 5 Brooks Robinson Way York, PA 17401
WHY: A statue of Brooks Robinson is set to unveil to kick-off the York Revolution Fan Fest. Though a baseball legend, Brooks Robinson has never had a statue of himself unveiled at any landmark.
It is open to the public as Brooks Robinson and his family witness this historic occasion. The ceremony will include the Statue dedication, a Proclamation of “Brooks Robinson Way” by City Official Joe Musso, unveiling of the statue and will conclude with comments by Brooks Robinson.
