Things That Made My Day

Today was the first day in my company's new office and I was actually fairly pleased with the changes this brought to my daily life. Today was pretty hectic though, so I didn't have time to do much exploring and I haven't found a place to take photos yet. That will have to wait a bit.

Here are things that made my day:

-The longer commute ended up being a lot less painful than anticipated. Hooray for pleasant surprises!

-I sorta like my new workspace. Can't wait to Adiel-ify it a bit more!

-The views from my new office!





-New shoes!



-My Moo Mini Cards arrived!



-B bought me a new travel mug for my new commute!

SANA FEST 2011

Para quem não é de Fortaleza provavelmente não teve como saber o que estava rolando aqui no Centro de Convenções (só se você for um geek, viciado em animes, games e kpop como eu). Pois bem, nesse final de semana rolou o Sana Fest 2011, um grande evento (encontro) que reúne os fanáticos de games, animes e culturas orientais no geral e claro que eu não deixaria de ir né?

O evento no geral destaca-se mais pelo acontecimento das eliminatórias da WCS, concurso para escolher os melhores cosplays do país para ir nos representar no Japão (tipo a copa do mundo de cosplay), mas nessa edição eu achei que o evento foi muito mais do que só o concurso de cosplays, os games na minha opnião foram o maior destaque da feira sem falar nos demais concursos como por exemplo os de dança de K-Pop (foi muito maaaaaaaaassa depois que subir os videos das apresentações eu mostro alguns aqui). Outro grande destaque do evento são os stands de vendas cheio de coisas lindas, fofas, nerds e carinhas também hahahaha.

Macy’s First Designer Collaboration

Just like H&M and Target, Macy's is also launching its first ever designer collaboration lines. This February 16, Kinder Aggugini's design for Macy's will be displayed. Kinder Aggugini was an Italian designer who worked with John Galliano, Donatella Versace and Vivienne Westwood. The said collection includes floral dresses, backless rompers, and polka dots which ranges from $38 to $298.

Closet Purge and Playing Decorator

While I live in an apartment with a decent-sized room and a decent-sized closet, the one thing I constantly struggle with is space for all of my stuff. Admittedly, one reason for this could be that I just have too much stuff. Considering that as an option, I took some time to go through my closet and take out clothes I haven't worn in a while. Closet-purging has always been hard for me; in fact, you'll probably see me on "Hoarders" in about 50 years. But I removed a pretty decent pile of clothes--go me! I'm going to spend the next week getting the guts to do the same with my 100+ pairs of shoes.





In the meantime, I've also decided to kill two birds with one stone by using some of my accessories to decorate my room. I filled up the shelves on my headboard and I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out.





I've also been on the hunt for dress forms of all sizes to decorate with. I came across an abundance of them while visiting family in Utah, but didn't purchase any since I wouldn't be able to get them home easily. I've been bummed about that missed opportunity. All that changed when I payed a visit to Ross on a total whim this past weekend. It's one of my favorite places to find affordable decorations for my home, I can almost always find something--and this visit was a total jackpot. I finally found some dress forms! I'm pretty pleased with how well my new purchases fit in.







Next up on my decor to-do list is to do something about the terrible blinds and maybe actually put something up on my walls.

Also, can I just say how amazing Space Bags are? Oh my gosh, they have done wonders for storage in my modest apartment. I'm just so thrilled, I could shout it from the rooftops!
