Essie's Peach Daquiri Polish
I was trying to decide what color to paint my nails last week so I was going through my box of polish when I found this color. I purchased it during my last trip to visit my family in Utah and I guess I just forgot about it. Oopsies!
Anyway, I'm glad I rediscovered this color because it's now one of my current faves! The color is so bright and cheerful--perfect for spring and summer! I left it on my nails for nearly a week, which is sort of a long time for me these days!
Now the only question is, what polish should I try use next?

Como boa parte dos meus leitores ou quem me segue no twitter sabem, hoje acontece o lançamento do Dragão Fashion Brasil, maior evento de moda conceitual do Brasil e esse ano eu estarei fazendo a cobertura do evento para o Portal MisterMag onde também sou editor de conteúdo e uma colaboração mais que especial para o renomado jornalista de moda masculina Lula Rodrigues (ueba!). Mas não pensem que eu esquei aqui do blog, o material que estou preparando para cá é algo bem diferente dos incansáveis posts convencionais mostrando looks e passarela. Esse ano a cobertura para o blog também será uma coisa nova e diferente, a cobertura completa será feita em video para o +IMTV (aproveita e segue no twitter) e aqui no blog eu vou (tentar) fazer os posts rápidos mostrando um pouco de tudo que está acontecendo. Se preferir é só acompanhar pelo twitter que será onde eu estarei comentando freneticamente tudo o que rolar de mais cool no evento.
Dito tudo isso não espantem caso o blog passe essa semana sem atualizações, realmente o trabalho será muito corrido, muita loucura mesmo, que só uma semana de moda pode nos proporcionar! No mais fiquem ligado no twitter e vamos que vamos!

Jessica Alba had a fashion makeover for the Vogue Italia April 2011 issue. She wore dark sophisticated pieces from Lanvin, Prada and Dolce & Gabbana.

Makeup Monday - Revlon Colorburst & Super Lustrous Lips
Happy Monday, my friend! It's time to chat about another little bit of cosmetic candy and today it's all about the lips!
I first tried Revlon's Colorburst lip gloss at Lucky FABB and I've been using it in Peony off and on ever since. I really like the flatter shape of the applicator and the gloss itself isn't too sticky. Last week, Target sent me some beauty samples, one of them being Colorburst lip gloss in Hot Pink. I tried it and instantly fell in love with the hot hue on my lips. I simply needed to have it so I went to Target (with coupons in hand!) to get the full tube.
The bad news is their Colorburst selection was almost completely sold out! I didn't want any of the shades that were left so "Operation Hot Pink" was a bust. However, I did end up grabbing a tube of their Super Lustrous lipstick in siren--a burning orange-red. I'm sort of stoked to rock this beautifully bright color. Look for it in an outfit post coming soon!

The Sale of the Year
Last weekend, I was enjoying the warm weather with my roommate while taking a midday stroll through our charming little neighborhood. We happened to walk past a yard sale and this bag caught my eye.
I walked over and picked up and told B how cute I thought it was. Suddenly, I hear the woman who lives there tell me, "Isn't it cute? It's only a quarter!"
My response: "You're joking, right?"
"Nope!" she happily told me, "It's closeout time... EVERYTHING is a quarter."
We'll have to check with B, but I'm pretty sure my jaw was on the ground. For that price, I couldn't afford NOT to paw through the piles and piles of yard sale goodies.
While searching for treasures, I chatted with the woman and her family. Turns out that her great aunt recently passed away after living a life full of passion for style, shopping, and sewing. I can definitely identify with those things so it makes me happy that this woman's style can sort of live on through me.
I ended up taking home lots of vintage goodies, many still with their tags on them: several skirts & tops, a few bundles of fabric, two giant bags of assorted sewing notions (e.g. lace, buttons, etc.), several hats, a hat box, a handful of bags and clutches, and.... this dress--all for a mere $5! And would you believe this dress was one of the several things I snagged that still had the original tags on it?
I think my new summer hobby might be hunting around for amazing yard sales.

GUIA PERFUMES | TUDO O QUE VOCÊ PRECISA SABER.
O perfume é sem dúvidas uma arma importantíssima para nós homens na hora de conhecer aquela "gata", ir para aquela reunião de negócios importante ou partir rumo a balada. Pesquisas apontam que nós somos uma "sociedade visual" onde a primeira impressão que fica é a da nossa aparência, mas eu digo que isso vai além da roupa que você está vestindo. O cheiro e a fragrância acabam sendo uma característica forte para quem está nos conhecendo pela primeira vez e se você não estiver "arrasando" no look, mas esta com um excelente perfume isso pode compensar facilmente a sua falha no quesito estilo e melhor, você ainda vai ficar rotulado como "o rapaz cheiroso" pelas mulheres.
Você sabia que existem perfumes que com o passar do tempo mudam de fragrância? Que para que o perfume seja bem conservado ele deve ficar dentro da caixa dele e guardado em um local que não pegue sol? Que existem perfumes que em tempo em tempo você deve passar novamente porque ele simplesmente evapora? Para você não ter mais dúvidas na hora de comprar, como conservar e outras curiosidades aqui vai um pequeno manual para você ficar por dentro de tudo sobre o universo dos perfumes e não cometer mais erros.
- Na hora de comprar se você perceber a embalagem desbotada é sinal de vazamento.
- Os perfumes têm validade média de dois anos. Observe a cor e se estiver mais concentrado no fundo do frasco é sinal de que ele pode estar vencido.
- Guarde seu perfume dentro de um armário bem longe do sol. A exposição do perfume à luz, umidade e temperaturas elevadas desencadeia um processo de oxidação durante o qual sua fórmula perde as características originais – e o aroma sai alterado.
- Evite fadigar o nariz. Isso acontece se você cheirar mais de três perfumes seguidos na loja. O ideal seria sentir as várias etapas da fragrância que se revelam ao longo do tempo. O aroma no momento da aplicação é um, uma hora depois fica diferente. Renata Ashcar, autora do Guia de Perfumes (Ed. Duetto, 154 págs.).
- Tome cuidado para quando o cheiro evaporar, procure andar com uma amostra ou um pouco do perfume em um frasco de bolso para que você possa reaplicar. Os perfumes cítricos e leves devem ser reaplicados a cada quatro horas.
- Se por ventura você aplicou perfume demais ou por acidente, tomar banho é o ideal.
- Aplique no pulso ou no anti braça e aguarde por uns 50 minutos para saber o resultado final. Não adianta testar só no papel.
- Mulheres revelam que acham o homem mais sexy com perfumes amadeirados.
- Regra master! Nunca, mas nunca pense em renunciar totalmente o perfume. Em outras culturas isso é até comum, mas aqui no Brasil perfume é obrigação!
